Penta Investments, the Central European investment group, announced the winners of the Vision 2025 essay competition.

The jury, formed from the Penta Investments representatives, awarded 6 students coming from Czech, Slovak and Polish universities for their inspiring and innovative ideas. The working with information sources, innovativeness and ideas consistency has been taken into consideration and rated by the jury.

“Due to the fact that it was a very low difference in our ratings, we decided not to award an absolute winner, but to award best four students with the price of EUR 3,000 and the two remaining students with the price of EUR 1,000. We highly appreciate the record-breaking participation of all students as we received number of interesting ideas,” Jaroslav Haščák, managing partner of Penta said.

The winners of the 6th year of Vision 2025 competition:
EUR 3,000 Winners
Beata Bogusz – Warsaw School of Economics, Poland
Ewa Chomicz – Poznan University of Economics, Poland
Miroslav Tabernaus – University of Economics in Prague, Czech Rep.
Gabriel Tóth – Comenius University in Bratislava, Slovakia

EUR 1,000 Winners

The winning essays will be published on Penta’s website www.pentainvestments.com soon. The winners will be invited for a dinner party where they receive the awards.

94 university students from the Czech Republic, Slovakia and Poland entered the competition this year addressing three topics:

  • The development of consumer behaviour in Central Europe.
  • How will the role of Governments change in the Visegrad Four countries as a result of the financial crisis?
  • Real estate development in the future.

The competition is traditionally organised by Penta Investments with the goal of awarding unique ideas on business and public life issues from young people. The total number of essays for the previous five years was 309, and 49 authors were awarded. Penta gave away prizes totalling EUR 40,000.
