Privatbanka, a.s., a member of the Penta Investments group, has appointed Petr Řehák as Chief Executive Officer and Chairman of the Board of Directors. He replaces Ľuboš Ševčík, who is leaving the bank after 18 years.

Petr Řehák is an experienced leader with nearly 30 years of professional experience. He will focus primarily on expanding the range of products and services for both private and corporate clients, as well as on digital transformation. He joins the bank with a clear vision to strengthen Privatbanka’s position as a modern digital private bank in the Central European region.

“I would like to thank Ľuboš Ševčík for his outstanding work, during which he managed to transform a small bank into a leader in private banking in Slovakia and a specialist in project financing. I believe that Petr Řehák has excellent prerequisites to significantly advance Privatbanka in terms of digitalization, client services, and regional expansion,” said Marián Slivovič, a partner at Penta responsible for banking, financial services, and media.

Under Petr Řehák’s leadership, the bank plans to expand its personalized product and service offerings, develop its distribution network with an increased focus on personal client relationships, and invest in innovative digital solutions. The strategy also includes the small and medium-sized enterprise (SME) segment, for which Privatbanka is preparing a new, tailored offering. The ambition is to transform Privatbanka into a dynamic and technologically advanced player in the CEE region, built on personalized client experience, digital convenience, and sustainable growth.

“We want to move Privatbanka into a new era of digital private banking with a unique personal approach to both individual and corporate clients. We will build on a top-tier portfolio of products and services, digitalization, and innovation, using artificial intelligence to precisely identify clients’ needs and deliver personalized solutions in real time,” said Petr Řehák, CEO and Chairman of the Board of Privatbanka.

“The key lies in a strong team, an open corporate culture, and an emphasis on effective use of technology. We are also considering options for inorganic growth. With the backing of Penta Investments, we are in an excellent position for rapid digital transformation and further business and geographical expansion,” he added.

Petr Řehák brings extensive experience from leading major financial institutions and consulting firms, including Equa Bank, Citibank, and Deloitte. At Equa Bank, he helped build one of the most successful challenger banks in the region, emphasizing digital banking and customer experience. At Citibank, he successfully transformed private banking and wealth management operations.
