Penta Investments launches already the 7th year of VISION 2025 Essay Competition. Students of Czech, Slovak and Polish institutions of higher education may compete for attractive prize money - up to EUR 5,000 - in the 7th year of Vision 2025, an already well-established competition of essays organised by Penta.

The competition strives to motivate students to think about the development and changes of selected areas in the future. The essay tourney does not recognize the students’ academic performance – it merits creativity, originality, researching and processing information and the consistency of content.

“Student essays are an important source of ideas and inspiration for us which we use in our business. Last year for the first time Czech and Slovak students were joined by their Polish counterparts and they were very successful. We hope this year it will not be an exception,” said Jaroslav Haščák, Managing Partner of Penta Investments.

Three categories were announced for this year:

  1. Reform of the electoral system 2025 (Are we represented by the best?)
  2. Public health care system 2025 (Patients‘ participation in the health care system?)
  3. Current real estate development and its limits for 2025 (Developers: what are they doing wrong?)

The jury is composed of representatives of Penta Investments. The authors of the best works will be recognized as follows:
Winner: EUR 5,000
1st runner-up: EUR 3,000
2nd runner-up: EUR 1,000

The deadline for submission of works has been set for 31 August 2010. The jury will announce the results no later than by the end of September 2010. Additional information, including the Charter of the Competition, is available from www.pentainvestments.com.

A total of more than 400 essays, of which 55 were awarded, enrolled for the six previous years of Vision 2025. During the years, Penta paid out almost EUR 55,000 in prizes.
