MOBILKING is Becoming Already the Fifth Penta’s Project in Poland

Mobile Entertainment Company (MEC), a portfolio company of the Penta private equity group, has presented a virtual mobile operator project in Poland. It will provide its services under the name of MOBILKING. The primary target segment covers men, who will be provided pre-paid services with a content offer focused on sports and entertainment. Products will be started to be offered to customers in February 2008. After U:fon in the Czech Republic, it is already the second project of Penta in the area of telecommunications.

"We have carried out a whole range of researches and we have thoroughly selected a target group. Customers of MOBILKING will have a whole scale of customized services available," Marek Ondrejka, Investment Director of Penta Investments, said.

MOBILKING is already the fifth project of the Penta private equity group in Poland. In order to support a further expansion in the Polish market, Penta has decided to establish its branch in Warsaw. Currently, staff recruitment takes place. Main role of the Warsaw branch will be to support the existing projects of Penta (Žabka, Profesjonal, Dr.Max, Stream, MOBILKING) and implement potential acquisitions in the Polish market.
