Penta, a Central European investment group, has entered the facility management market with its new acquisition. Today, Penta and the Genesis Private Equity Fund, managed by Genesis Capital, concluded a purchase agreement for AB Facility. AB Facility is currently among the three most important providers and integrators of facility management on the Czech market.
The transaction is subject to approval by the Anti-monopoly Office and its value will not be disclosed.
“AB Facility represents a suitable platform for entering the market and building a strategic subject in the future. We plan to develop both the company and its portfolio of services. Penta’s goal is to internally-consolidate the existing holding, add new acquisitions and finally to consolidate the facility management market in Central Europe,” said Zdeněk Kubát, Penta’s Investment Director.
“At the moment, the market is very fragmented and a strong investor will enable us to use our company’s growth potential to its full. Together with the new owner, the existing management is ready to develop AB Facility into a strong regional player,” adds Miroslav Tvrdý, AB Facility’s CEO.

During the seven years Genesis Capital owned AB Facility, its revenue grew from CZK 175 million to 1.3 billion – its value followed a similarly steep course.
