The best students of the Faculty of Laws of the Charles University in Prague and University of Economic in Prague tried for Penta Award for Excellent Study Results at the turn of March and April. The three best students from each University received a 50,000 CZK award from the Penta Foundation that had announced this competition for the fourth time this year.
The Penta Award for Excellent Study Results is intended for students with excellent average results, perfect English or another world language, and who meet one of conditions being an active publication or scientific activities, a success in an international competition in his / her field, a study stay abroad, or above-average sports results.
A selection committee consisting of representatives of the Universities and the Penta Foundation was selecting from 55 registered competitors in the 4th year. All students went through presentations before the committee aimed at presenting themselves, their previous work, and their future plans. The committee finally awarded the following six students:

"The support of talented students is one of priorities of the Penta Foundation. The Penta Award has finished the fourth successful year and we know that, apart from other things, it often helps the awarded students to gain experience abroad, which is a contribution not only to their study but also to their career or personality," added Martin Kúšik, the chairman of the Managing Board of the Foundation and partner of the investment group Penta.
Penta Award for Excellent Study Results has been granted to the best students of the Faculty of Laws of the Charles University and University of Economic in Prague since 2004. Students can register for the next year in the school year 2007/2008 in February and March 2008. Detailed information will be published on the site of the Foundation at www.nadacepenta.cz.
