The international consortium Cargo Central Europe consisting of Rail World Holdings LLC, Mid Europa Partners LLP, and Penta Investments Limited submitted a binding price offer in a tender for a sale of a 100% stake in Železničná spoločnosť Cargo Slovakia, a. s. announced by the government of the Slovak Republic and the National Property Fund of the SR.
Rail World Holdings LLC is an international group with its registered office in Chicago dealing with management and investments in the area of cargo railway transportation. Rail World Holdings LLC manages railway transportation in Poland, Canada, and the USA. Mid Europa Partners LLP is a British private equity management company, which jointly with Rail World Holdings LLC participated in a successful privatization and subsequent restructuring of an operator of the cargo railway transportation and infrastructure administrator in Estonia – Estonia Railways (EVR).
Penta Investments Limited belongs to the Central European private equity group Penta operating in the area of strategic investments and restructuring projects.
