Penta Investments is originally Central European investment group, specialising for investments in private equity and real estate. Penta was established in 1994 as a securities trader. In 2000, Penta started to invest in private equity projects and in 2005 added real estate as new business line. From less than 5 employees at the beginning, Penta has grown to the current 200 employees in 5 offices (Prague, Bratislava, Warsaw, Limassol and Amsterdam). With our portfolio companies providing employment to more than 25,000 people, we are one of the largest employers in the region.

Milestones

1994 | Incorporation, operating as a securities trader.
1996 | Acquisition of the largest investment fund in Slovakia, VUB Kupon, which had more than 100 companies under its management - in cooperation with the British Regent Fund.
1997–2002 | Successfull restructuring and consolidation of manufacturing and transport companies such as Drotovna Hlohovec, Slovnaft, Chemolak, Slovenska plavba a pristavy.
2000–2002 | Entry into the Czech market, internal restructuring, comprehensive modification of company structure and processes to comply with world-wide private equity standards.
2005–2007 | Commencement of real estate development operations under the new Real Estate Department. One of the largest successful LBO's, Severomoravske vodovody a kanalizace Ostrava in the Czech Republic, first mid-market acquisitions, i.e. investments valued at EUR 100 million, such as Aero Vodochody and Zabka Polska.
2007–2008 | Territorial expansion, new office in Warsaw. New strategy adopted, dividing Penta into two business lines: Private Equity and Real Estate.
